However, when they were sailing through Westterschelling with copper bars, this was so noticeable that a real hunt started for the position of the KERWOOD2004-- the Zeester managed to keep the position secret for 2 years until it was discovered by the cutter TS 6 of Walter Bakker from Terschelling. He passed the position on to the Ecuadorian diving team, who managed to recover hundreds of copper bars in 2004. The remainder of the cargo was retrieved from the water by Walter Bakker using a polyp grab with built-in camera, which turned out to be a very lucrative venture and was the reason for establishing the salvage company Friendship BV in Terschelling.
